Popular ghazal singer Bhupinder Singh passed away

The shadow of grief in the world of music. Famous Indian musician Bhupinder Singh died after ten days of struggle.

He has left many songs in Bengali and Hindi languages. He was 82 years old at the time of his death.

He died on Monday (July 18) evening local time while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mumbai. The singer’s wife Mitali Singh confirmed this to the media.

Mithali said that her husband was suffering from old age disease. There were many complications in the body. He was sick for several days. He died on Monday evening while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mumbai.

According to the report of Indian news media, this famous ghazal singer was suffering from various physical problems.

The illness had increased so much that he had to  admitted to the hospital 10 days ago. According to doctors, Bhupinder Singh diagnosed with colon cancer.

The report of corona test also came positive on him. So no further biopsy could be done.

  • Bhupinder Singh was born in 1940 in Amritsar, Punjab, India. He started taking music lessons from his father. Bhupinder Singh then joined All India Radio as a professional musician.
  • Later joined with Doordarshan. Bhupinder met Bangladeshi singer Mithali Mukherjee in the late eighties. Later their four hands became one.
  • This time, Bhupinder took a break from the world of playback. Inclined to produce music albums with his wife.

Bhupinder Singh gave a new form to the old ghazal. And it was possible because of his love of guitar. Bhupinder has gone to the land of no return, his creation remains.
