The shipment was supposed to go from Bangladesh to Bahrain. Although the drugs were recovered, the police could not arrest anyone. They say that if those involved are found, the syndicate of drug smuggling abroad will come out.

Books will be sent by courier to Bahrain. Detectives already had information – a shipment of marijuana was being smuggled inside these books. Later the books were recovered from the courier service.

Every page of the book was searched, and nowhere was the existence of drugs found. But what is wrong with the information? Detectives try to find drugs by turning over the books. Malate is suspected.

Moshiur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Gulshan Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, said that it was actually scanned at the office of the courier service and the concerned found that there was something suspicious. Then they reported the matter to the team leader of illegal drug recovery of detective Gulshan department. Later tests revealed about half a kilogram of ganja.

Moshiur Rahman said, the gang wanted to send drugs to Bahrain in a few books. Cannabis is not available in Bahrain. Therefore, the ganja was being sent by using tactics to avoid the eyes of the law enforcement agencies. There these drugs were being sold at exorbitant prices or being smuggled for self-consumption.

He also said, “We have got the name and address of a person in Bahrain. People from Bangladesh have also given some suspicious names and addresses. Trying to catch them. Hopefully, we will be successful soon. It is believed that drugs have been shipped out of the country through this particular courier service.
