Successful Hospital Birth for The Nutritionist’s Wife

When I was pregnant, my husband and I were terrified of giving birth. The thought of the doctors cutting me open because something went wrong sounded like a nightmare to us. However, we had an amazing experience with our first child’s birth! Our daughter was born through a c-section this morning and we wanted to share the photos with you all! We want to inspire other people who are worried about their own births by showing them that it is possible for it to be successful.

I can’t even begin to explain how stressful it was for us after my daughter’s head came out. It was the most relieving thing in the world when she fully came out though. We had hired a photographer who took photos of everything, so I’m sharing those with you all as well! The first photo is before her head popped out. The next photo is after the head was out, and it’s followed by a photo of her face after she came out!

I hope you all enjoyed the photos and I would like to thank Reddit for helping us spread our photos around. We’re glad we could inspire others with our happy birth story!

Thanks for sharing your story and photos! What an incredible experience. Congratulations to you all. The photos are beautiful, especially the first one which is now a bittersweet reminder- of what might have been. birth is unpredictable. Sometimes the baby comes out in the “right” order, but other times it can be quite different. The baby was still fairly young when the cord prolapsed, so it is possible that she would have survived. I also love the picture of you holding her. You are a strong lady!

Amazing story. your ds is perfect!! So glad that your family ended up ok and happy with all things! It is always such an amazing experience to see these little miracles come into the world and I’m so glad to hear that he went as well as he did!

The pictures are amazing. Congratulations! It’s really neat we got to read your story and see such great photos of your birth. You can continue to mark this day with pride.

This is one of those times I wish I could see the pictures. My daughter was also born with her cord wrapped around neck/shoulder area, but didn’t make it out alive. She had to be resuscitated at birth and was eventually given a shot of epi because she wasn’t breathing well enough on her own. But she did come home with us- even if it was only for a few hours. It’s so hard to imagine how different it would have been if she had survived. There are days I wonder what kind of amazing little girl she would have grown up to be, but then my heart is reminded that this is the Lord’s plan, not mine.

I’m sorry for your loss If you ever want to talk about it or anything, I’m here. After a devastating loss like that you need all the support from family and friends you can get. What a blessing he is in your lives!

This is just beautiful – thank you for sharing because its truly amazing So happy for all of you and a big congratulations to your little miracle!!
